The eMedix clearinghouse has introduced a powerful new feature: the eMedix Dashboard. Integrated with Medisoft, this dashboard offers real-time insights into your claims processing, providing an accessible way to monitor performance and identify issues early without the need to generate
multiple reports.
Getting Started with the Dashboard
Once logged into your eMedix account, you’ll find the dashboard on the home screen under the Performance Overview section. It features a hyperlink to open the dashboard in a separate browser tab, making it easy to navigate between screens.

If you’re still juggling third-party portals and manually uploading claims, it’s time to make the switch. Medisoft EDI (powered by eMedix) lets you send claims in just 1 click, automate eligibility checks, receive ERAs, and access real-time claim status and other information all within Medisoft.

Dashboard Layout and Key Features
- Filter Panel: Customize your view by filtering claims by date range, TP ID
(useful for billing services managing multiple accounts), and claim
status. Apply filters to refresh your data instantly. - Top Menu Sections: The dashboard is organized into Overview, Claims,
Responses, Payments, Denials, and Last 12 Months, each with targeted
charts and statistics. - Visual Charts: Pie and bar charts illustrate claim status breakdowns,
including accepted, rejected, and on-hold claims. Clicking on any chart
segment filters the claim list below for detailed review. - Dynamic Claim List: The claim list updates based on your chart selections,
allowing sorting but not direct claim editing. Claim modifications still
require the Claim Connection tool. - Navigation and Settings: Switch between Dashboard and Charts views easily, and
customize default settings for your preferred data display.
Deep Dive Into Dashboard Sections
- Responses: Displays the top 10 rejection reasons with details like invalid ICD codes.
Selecting a reason reveals all affected claims. - Payments: Shows remittance information for those receiving electronic remittance
advice (ERA) through eMedix, including payer names, payment totals, and
average days to pay. Detailed payment management remains in Remit Manager. - Denials: Lists the top denial codes along with claim counts and insurance details,
helping identify common denial patterns. - Last 12 Months: Visualizes trends in claim volumes, rejection counts,
dollar amounts, first pass rates, and types of rejections, supporting
long-term performance improvements.
Additional Benefits and Recommendations
- Exporting Data: Users can export charts and claim lists as Excel files or images
for reporting and auditing purposes. - Role-Based Access: Permissions can be customized to assign Dashboard User or
Admin roles, controlling who can view or modify dashboard settings. - Eligibility Checks: When paired with Medisoft or Office Hours, automated
eligibility verification helps reduce rejections caused by invalid member
information.
