Beginning of the Year Best Practices – Automate Patient Eligibility in Medisoft

The first of the year is when all patient deductibles get reset back to zero. This means that anytime you treat a patient near the beginning of the year, you should be fairly suspicious that the patient will be fully responsible for the visit or treatment. It should be a very high priority of the medical office to make sure they know what the patient will owe and what portion of the deductible has already been met. You can do this by checking the insurance eligibility for the patient.
