Medisoft Now Has An Easier, Faster Way to Submit WC and Auto Claims, Without Switching Systems or Mailing Paperwork

If your practice submits workers’ compensation or auto accident claims, there’s great news:

Medisoft EDI, powered by eMEDIX, now supports claim submissions and attachments for both workers’ comp (WC) and automobile medical (auto) claims.

This new feature helps billing staff handle these more complex claims with less hassle—and keeps everything connected directly to Medisoft.

Why This Matters

Billing WC and auto claims often requires jumping through extra hoops—like mailing physical attachments, logging into outside portals, or dealing with separate submission workflows. Now, all of that can be handled more efficiently within the Medisoft + eMEDIX system.

Practices can now:

• Submit WC and auto claims electronically through Medisoft EDI
• Attach required documentation digitally through the eMEDIX Claims Connection portal
• Avoid unnecessary delays, rejections, and manual steps

What’s required to get started?

To use this new feature, practices need to have:

• An active Medisoft EDI account

• The Attachments option enabled on their eMEDIX account

Once enabled, the process for submitting WC and auto claims is almost identical to submitting any other electronic claim through Medisoft—with the added ability to securely upload and transmit required attachments.

A note for New York practices

For providers submitting New York workers’ comp claims, the NY Workers’ Compensation Board requires a one-time registration for electronic (XML) submission. This step must be completed prior to submitting WC claims electronically. Click here for details and registration instructions.
