Practice Partner EMR / EHR

  • When most people mention Practice Partner they are referring to the popular and widely used Electronic Medical Record aspect of the software. The EMR portion of Practice Partner has been integrated with Medisoft Medical Billing Software for a complete EMR package called Medisoft Clinical. It has also been integrated with Lytec Billing Software and is called Lytec MD.

    Bright Note Technology

    At the core of Practice Partner software is Bright Note Technology. One Note. One Touch. The beauty of the system lies within the simplicity. Bright Note’s dynamic processing technology enables physicians to capture patient data in a single note. With one touch the information is instantly synchronized across the entire patient chart eliminating the need for extra work and double entry.

    By matching your preferred charting style you can chart the way you want to. Based on your preference we will implement with one of the following options, all of which utilize Bright Note Technology:

  • Use customized templates on a TabletPC or a PC to chart in real-time during a patient encounter.
  • Take advantage of the ability to support advanced speech recognition to dictate the note directly into the software, including the ability to pull in data from other sections of the chart or update other sections of the chart automatically using Bright Note Technology. For example, by saying “Insert Medications” the current medications and allergies for the Patient will automatically display in the note. By stating the diagnosis in the note Bright Note Technology will automatically synchronize the Patient’s Problem list and Chart Summary sections of the chart, and push the diagnosis over to billing at the same time. Using Voice Commands and Bright Note Technology allows doctors to complete a note faster than they could dictate it, and the chart is filed and updated with searchable Discrete Data all at once. One Note. One touch sets everything in motion!
  • For providers that want to continue dictating and using a transcriptionist we recommend Bright Dictation. Providers dictate the way they normally do and we teach their transcriptionist one simple code to add to their transcribed note. The transcriptionist can send back one text file with all of their transcribed notes in it, and using Bright Dictation Technology the practice can import that file into Practice Partner. With just a few clicks all of the patient’s charts are updated with the new progress notes, and the provider’s dashboard displays the list of notes to be reviewed and digitally signed in their Note Review bin. Edits can be made right then and there as the file is being reviewed.
  • Order Entry

    Managing and tracking orders is a critical part of patient care and is a very difficult process for those on paper charts. Practice Partner Order Entry facilitates the creation, fulfillment and tracking of orders for services such as laboratory, radiology, pathology, immunizations, EKGs, and virtually any other type of physician order. This application helps reduce data entry errors due to illegible and incomplete information. And when the order is created it pulls in useful information such as patient insurance plan rules, order-specific diagnosis codes and order-specific patient and processor instructions.

    Order Entry has the ability to send orders electronically or print them to a form. Once the order is created and sent, it updates the progress note and goes into the order-tracking bin where providers can track its status. Practice Partner Order Entry allows you to create provider-specific order trees that contain the orders you are most likely to initiate. The order tree is tailored to personal preferences so that common orders are readily available. You can also configure order sets to initiate several orders as a group.
