Medinotes EMR to be discontinued

On December, 1 2009 CCHIT announced a new comprehensive certification program designed to assist health care providers looking for maximal assurance that an EMR product will meet their complex needs, as well as support their achievement of meaningful use to qualify for the ARRA financial incentives. Shortly after this announcement, Eclipsys released the following statement: "After thorough consideration, Eclipsys has made a business decision not to pursue ARRA '11 Certification for MediNotes e." This decision means Medinotes e will not qualify for any federal stimulus money through the American Recovery and Reinvestment ACT. Eclipsys will continue to support Medinotes e through 2010, but there will be no further development of product enhancements as they intend to sunset the product.
